HAPPY LABOR DAY!

Ben's Bubbles

Image
After a long day of OB appts and running errands all around town.....we ended our night on the back porch watching the sunset, blowing bubbles. Baby Zach got new clothes, as Babies R Us was having a huge sale. And Ben got some bubbles that were on the end of summer clearance shelf. He ended up eating more bubbles than making them......it was more fun to watch him anyways. I just relaxed in my chair, and watched the sunset, and watched Ben eat.... I mean play with bubbles. A special "no spill" bubble holder. Sometimes Ben would sit next to me and say, "Mommy, I need a break." Here's the belly.......Dan - you said you wanted more pictures of me.......

Adding to Zach's wardrobe

Babies R Us is having a HUGE sale! 50% off almost all of their clothes. I went a little crazy with a few additions to Zach's wardrobe. Dan, I was good....I didn't get the Lazy boy rocking chair on clearance! It was VERY hard to resist though............. What I did get ~ A headpiece for his first Thanksgiving. Benjamin modeling Zach's soon to be head wear. SO CUTE! Dan - thought you'd like this one ~ I can't resist things that say MOM on them....especially when related to sports ~ So much cuter in person. My two favorite colors right now to mix are chocolate brown and blue. Ben giving his stamp of approval ~ A cowboy monkey......how could I resist? And the material is super soft and warm. The lighting makes it look black, but the dark color is actually chocolate brown. And the other sleeper in this set ~ I love it!

Playing around with Helicopters

I got a chance to go out and check out some of the really cool toys that the Army has in the tool shed and thought I would put up some pictures.

Doing good......

Thanks everyone for your concern. I am doing good now. I had an infection that caused some pre term labor. I was in Labor and Delivery for a day. But, I am doing good now. I have had amazing support from friends here on base with bringing dinners and watching Ben while I get some rest. So let's just hope that my body behaves itself and little Zach enjoys my tummy for 77 more days!!!

Last days of summer.....Ready for Fall...........

Image
Next week it will be September! We are enjoying our last days of summer with frozen smoothies and lots of outside play! Ben has recently mastered the tricycle! LAST DAYS OF SUMMER ~ Making our own Jamba ~Peach yoplait yogurt, frozen blueberries, and Yogurt blend frozen yogurt peach flavor. YUMMY! I loved how Benjamin's eyes bugged out on his first sip of frozen yumminess ~ He drank the smoothie for 1 minute straight until he had a brain freeze ~ READY FOR FALL ~ I am super excited about Fall this year. My Momma will be here for a mainland baby shower!Baby Zach will make his debut! Dan will be here for a few weeks! And who doesn't love.... Football, food, and costumes!?!?!?! BEN'S HALLOWEEN COSTUME ARRIVES IN MAIL! At first this little penguin thought he was a Lion, and decided to ROAR! The cutest little Penguin that melts my heart ~ MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL ~ CHARGERS VS SEA HAWKS ...... CHARGERS WIN! Ready for kick off These boots are made for field goals ~ Blue, 42...

Ben's Halloween costume

Image
Gymboree is having a sale this week. (I still have the code if you want it.) I used a 30% off coupon for on-line. (I love shopping from home.) Benjamin now has his Halloween costume! I wanted something warm and snuggly since the weather predictor's are calling for another early winter this year. Also, Benjamin LOVES penguins. Daddy made him a Build A Bear penguin last year at Sea World. And this year at Sea World, Grandma Reva gave him a tube of 20 mini penguins. Oh yah - and he would watch the movie Happy Feet every day if he had it his way. Ben this past July at the Penguin exhibit ~ I think he will really like being a penguin. :) So what are you going to be this year for Halloween? I am thinking I might be a pregnant Bella from the Twilight book series. I can't think of any other pregnant Halloween outifts.......

Imagination

Image
While I have been severely under the weather, Ben has been entertaining himself. It's quite cute what his imagination can create. My favorite Ben-ism's this week - " Mommy, monkey has a stinky ." He then proceeds to put his monkey on the changing table and grab a huggies diaper to change his diaper. After finishing the diaper change he went downstairs and brought a jar of pickles upstairs. He told me, " Mommy, monkey is hungry for pickles ." ...........I think monkey might be pregnant....... Taking monkey and bear around the kitchen for a ride. Uh Oh - caught in the act ~ Time to eat......... I am guessing he is on a wild roller coaster ride, or a choo choo train.......... Whatever he created for himself, he was completely in his own world. Baby Zach is not behaving himself these past few days. So, I am SO grateful that Ben is able to entertain himself. And I am SO grateful for friends who have brought us dinner these past few days. And tomorrow a frien...

Booty Camp: Day 1 = SUCCESS!

Image
Thanks to Grandma Reva for sending a package of Feel and Learn diapers!!!! Benjamin had a successful day one of Booty camp!!! And thank to Brenda for suggesting the potty jar! Ben got a hot wheels car after he went pee pee in the big boy potty all by himself!!! (After Brenda's suggestion) I made a jar that had hot wheels cars and big boy underwear in it. In this jar Ben can take 1 treat from the jar after he goes #1 or #2 in the potty. And at 7:30pm tonight; the end of Booty camp, Ben headed to the bathroom all by himself and went potty in his potty chair!!!!!! ~ Big boy Ben glowing with pride and showing off his new hot wheels car! ~ Little monkey driving his car in the kitchen. (The feel and learn pull ups that Grandma Reva sent were little Mermaid. She found them at Ross half off.) Shhh don't tell Dan. ;) Now he is running around the house singing, "Tinkle Tinkle" Little star........and the potty song.........

~ Ben's latest and greatest ~

Image
Arts and Crafts time ~ We recently went to an Arts and Crafts store and Ben got a special treat. A jumbo Thomas the Train coloring book and his very own big boy crayon holder. He also got some brand new easy grip crayons. He continues to draw and eat with his left hand. He will sometimes use his right hand with coloring. But mostly favors his left. He even has a wicked good pitch, when he throws a baseball with his left arm! Future baseball player maybe???? Ben steals Mommy's running shoes ~ Amazingly enough he could walk around in them ~ He didn't fall .............. He only tipped over once........... YEE HAW! Ben wakes up to horsey and cowboy time and goes to sleep to horsey and cowboy time. In this picture he escaped from a diaper change before I could get his clothes on, grabbed his cowboy hat, and ran to the horse saying YEE HAW! We love our little cowboy............ Ben's latest and greatest accomplishment? He pee pee'd in the big boy potty for the first ti...
