Weekend in Phoenix

It's not a road trip without a stop to...................  We made it to Phoenix! Gary and Pete always make us feel so welcome. We are so grateful to be living so close to them right now. Going to their house is one of our favorite memories this summer. Uncle Gary and Pete have been together 35 years....and they still have fun together! As my Mom said, that is something to admire and strive for. The boys love their Uncle Pete. He was playing horses with them while they took a break from the pool. He was so patient with them even though he was in a lot of pain from his ankle injury. We hope his surgery takes away his pain! Uncle Gary returned home Sunday afternoon after going to his choir retreat. We are so proud of him for singing in the choir! He just did a show with Margaret Cho! It was 110' this weekend we visited Phoenix. So, when we were not eating yummy food, we were swimming and floating in the pool! And a wonderful surprise to the weekend...... Zach and Ben both w...

These past few months.......

Welcome to our crazy life! Our life continues to stay on fast forward. We are now settled at home. But there are a few reasons that this blog has gone un-touched for a month or two. I will sum it up for you as "quick" as I can. Pictures will come later. :O) A few days after super bowl, we got a phone call from San Diego. Grandma Sue was in renal failure and in the care of Hospice. We drove down the next day to be with her. After a week she came out of renal failure! She was transferred from the hospital to a convalescent home. Her health is still deteriorating. And she is not the same Grandma Sue. But, I am still grateful for any time we get to spend with her. After making sure that Grandma Sue was in good hands, we decided to head back home and on the way, make a stop in Arizona to visit with Grandpa Dennis(Dan's step dad) and Grandma Liz(Dan's Mom).
