Enjoying a little "ME" time

My wonderful friend Amber took Ben for a few hours, while I escaped for some me time! Besides cleaning and organizing every inch of the house, I am also trying to "pretty" myself up before Baby Zach and Dan's arrival. :) The pretty process began yesterday with my eyebrows and toes. Advice - Never get your eyebrows waxed at the same place that paints your toenails! My right eyebrow is now thinner than the left. And, they went thinner than I wanted. That's okay though! Lesson learned! I am still happier with thinner eyebrows now than Caterpillar eyebrows before. ;) I got my traditional October orange toes. I had the most wonderful pedicure and foot massage. I was so relaxed with the massage chair and pedicure, that I almost dozed off in the chair! I was so relaxed, I couldn't even read my gossip magazine. ;) Tuesday's agenda is to get my hair colored and trimmed! And near the end of the month, I am getting new make up! Fitness, Sleep, and Free Time

So I just read a baby bulletin that comes to my e-mail once a week. It usually gives me updates on babies that are Ben's age. And developmental milestones to look forward to. But today I received an e-mail that reminded me to focus a little more on myself. I think in our daily lives it is so easy to focus on your children, your hubby, bills, the home, cooking, cleaning, school, church callings, relatives, keeping in touch with friends....that we sometimes forget about ourselves. So today the e-mail said work on focusing on the following three things for the next couple of weeks....FITNESS SLEEP AND FREE TIME. My own personal goal is to stick with my new goal of starting up with weight watchers and get to bed earlier!!!! Oh yeah and my hair is in dire need of a cut and color, my eyebrows need a good wax and shape. So me - focus on me...that's tougher than it sounds. So here's to focusing on us!
