Nesting

Image
I am 30 weeks in to this pregnancy and in full blown nesting mode! I have been taking it easy for so long and on bed rest....... I was starting to go a little stir crazy. But now, I have been feeling much better with a STRONG desire to get rid of junk, clean, and organize the house! The "after" picture would have been a lot more dramatic had you seen the "before" picture. However, I didn't think of taking a "before". I was too focused on just clearing the shelves and starting from scratch. This is just one corner of our laundry room. I did take a "before" picture of the other side of the laundry room. It currently is a table piled high with junk. Soon, it will be turned into a craft room! ***** Mom ~ I promise I am not doing ANY heavy lifting!!!!!*****

Slowly but surely, this house is becoming a home. This past Saturday, I worked on putting up pictures on walls, decorating book shelves in living room, and organizing food pantrys. Here is the left side book shelve (my favorite) and TV in middle And here is the right side. Still need curtains for windows and new DVD holder for recent movies given to us by the spoiler Aunt Judy! Just put it on my "to do" list. ;) And then the anal pregnant lady came out in me, and I headed to the kitchen. After taking this picture, I had to mess up a few cans. It was way too "Sleeping with the enemy" for me. :) Tonight, I plan on tackling my craft table and get to my scrapbooking!

Not to brag but..........

They have great prices because you put the furniture together yourself. But this table I bought for Ben had the screw holes lined up wrong, so the table was refusing to come together. After hours going by of me trying to put together this impossible task......I had to re-drill holes and make it work. And because I did it on my own,(exception of little man's help) I didn't lose my marbles, kept my patience, did not start crying, and made Ben a table that he can sit and eat at safely.........I am amazing! Yes, it was a great deal of only $19.99........and in the end it all came together. But I think our actual dining room table that we buy will be delivered and put together already! :) Next project on the list ~ Try and put together Ben's playground set! How it started ~ I got out all our tools out forgetting that IKEA al...
