AN ADVENTURE...NOT A LIFE...THAT'S WHAT WE HAVE!
So the short version of our life the past few weeks wrapped up right before your very eyes! * We have our last Sunday at our ward (church congregation) in Hawaii. We are given leis and they sing Aloha Oe to us. * Dan's unit in Hawaii treats us to a fabulous lunch at Hard Rock Cafe! * 5 days before leaving the island, Ben comes down with a 103.9 fever. We bring him to the ER because after a cold bath, Tylenol, and Motrin, it would not drop. ER does not run any tests - instead give him motrin and a grape popsicle(which Ben threw at the DR) and then sends us home(aka:hotel) saying that it was just a flu and to enjoy the Popsicle that he would not eat. Hours after bringing Ben back to the hotel, while in bed with us, he seizures and has a 104.5 fever. (I freak out and get very angry with the ER) We bring him to pediatrics and they run blood tests and a urine culture immediately and discover he has a UTI that spread to his kidney's. Ben is admitted to the hospital for IV antibiotics...
