"Mother's guilt"

Every time that I call my Mom complaining about swollen feet or heartburn from this pregnancy, my Mom is always quick to ask....... "Are you writing this down? Because you really need to write this down. This is perfect "Mothers guilt". One day Benjamin will be a wild teenager and you'll need to be able to say, you better be good...do you know what I had to go through for you?" Hence the term.... "Mother's guilt". So yes, as you might soon find out from reading this post... I am a bit.... shall we say.......emotional? Just know that even though I need to vent.....I love the little guy in my belly more than he knows. And I just can't wait for him to join us here in the real world. But Mom, to anwser your question......yes ......I am writing it down. :) Today we can add the following to the mothers guilt list: *Not being able to take more than tylenol for pain. And I have pain. I dropped a jar of peanut butter on my toe and managed to break it. ...

Buck (Walter) Ludlow

On January 18th I received the news that an old friend had passed away. Buck was the same age as me. He was married to a wonderful woman named Rachel, and had two young children. He had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. He was truly one of a kind, and a truly great person. This happening reminded me of how short life really is. And that we really shouldn't take one minute for granted. Rachel and all of Buck's family- you will be in our thoughts and prayers. A tribute to his life can be seen at www.buckludlow.com

Judy gone wild!

It's official my great Aunt Judy has officially gone wild! Gone wild for Benjamin that is. Benjamin is one loved little dude. I would say spoiled, but Dan has always told me that he doesn't spoil me...he just loves me very well. So Benjamin is definately loved! Thanks to Judy he will not only be the snazziest dressed little guy on the block. He will also be wearing and showing his support for Northern California. Can you see in the pictures there is everything from the San Fransisco 49's football team wear, to Stanford College little shirts? Thank you so much Judy! He will wear his Monterey shirt and matching bib with pride. :)

Getting all of these little clothes and bibs, made us realize we are really going to be parents! We are so excited. We can't wait until Benjamin joins our family. One of our favorite items in this package was the cute fire engine pajamas, and the soccor jersey bib. Too cute Judy!

Not a lot left of this yummy cheesecake! Believe it or not it was soooo rich and filling, I could not finish it. But you bet I brought it home with the rest of my yummy left overs.

Leah's 26th birthday celebration - 1-13-06

Image
It's official! I have the sweetest husband ever! He woke me up with this adorable card. On the front it says, "Here are 26 reasons why I love you". And for my birthday dinner (thank you Momma for my birthday present - dinner) we drove down to downtown Honolulu and had dinner at TGI Fridays. It was the best night ever. We had only a 5 minute wait after being told originally 20 minutes. I think they sympathized with the fact that I was pregnant and Dan was on crutches......and Dan told them it was my birthday! The food was sooooo yummy. Our waitress gave me a shirley temple (cherry soda) on the house. And at the end of the night we didn't even have to pay for the parking! The parking structure people said it's your lucky day, go home without paying! Happy Happy Birthday to me!

Dan joking around with his injured knee. The nice waitress let him elevate his leg on a chair. We were treated like super stars at TGI Fridays!
