Ben goes to school and loses some teeth

Image
For his first day at school, Ben chose a Transformers backpack. Dan is able to spend lunch with us each day. And since Ben goes to the afternoon session of pre school, Ben was able to take pictures with Daddy. (Picture came out fuzzy?)His teacher's name is Ms. Margarita. Ben likes her a lot. She is helping Ben work on his listening skills and getting ready to go to Kindergarten next year. Daddy with his two handsome boys. (The electricity happened to go out in Dan's building on Ben's first day of school.) So, Dan was able to pick Ben up. Ben was super excited. Zachary had the hardest time with Ben going to school(besides Mommy crying). Zach loves his brother and misses him each time he goes to school. After school, we brought Ben to grab a special treat from the bakery on base. He chose a special cupcake. The bakery owner also gave Ben a balloon. Later that night at home, Ben was standing on the couch trying to reach the balloon that had floated to the ceiling. He slipped a...

School time!

I am back in school......AGAIN! As Dan deployed, and I became pregnant with Zach, I took off some time from college. Well, now that Dan is back from his deployment and in school himself...I decided it was time to return. I am taking 15 units on-line from Grossmont College in San Diego. I have a few more classes and I will have my Associates degree in Criminal Justice with a emphasis in Security Management. I switched my emphasis from Forensic Science to Security Management. I am really interested in Computer Forensics and Cyber Crimes. This emphasis focuses on exactly those things. :0) Dan is on a short 3 week hiatus. Yesterday, he finished his last final and term paper for the 9 units he was taking. In 3 weeks, he will be starting back up. He amazes me how he can work full time, go to school full time, and be the best Daddy and Husband. He really is Superman! Sweet Dan surprised me with a "Welcome Back to School" gift bag. He really is the best husband ever. There was a fo...

The ball is rolling.............

I have filled out my application for Weber State University and paid my application fee. This college is less than a block away from the base! They have one of the best Criminal Justice programs in the nation. My classes from my previous college will transfer over. And I can combine my love of computers and my talent of Criminal Justice with one degree. They have a Criminal Justice Degree specializing in Criminalistics. Included in that degree are the courses of Victimology and Investigation of Computer Crime. These are the two areas that I have always been interested in. The greatest thing about this degree is that, this is one of the few degrees offered completely on-line! This will make it much easier for me to finish the degree all the way through! And give me something to do at night when Ben goes to sleep, as opposed to watching re-runs on the DVR. ~ I will do anything to not think of how much I miss Dan......even go to school........ ;) ~ I am pretty excited to continue on the ...

Down with finals week!

Image
So for those of you who don't know....Dan and I have finals week for our classes going on right now. It's tough with the holidays, and Ben (aka: wild tasmanian devil) getting in to everything. But Dan and I have a pretty good routine scheduled out that allows us to each get in our own study time. But, last night it became all very overwhelming. I have a case brief for my Criminal Law class due Friday. Two tests, a final exam, and 2 writing assignments. I have a power point presentation on skin cancer, along with all of my extra credit due for my Health Ed class on Saturday. Also due for this class are 3 tests, and a final exam! Luckily, all I have for Child Development due is the final exam, and last test on 3 chapters to do. Yes, I know what you are thinking....with all this due.... why are you blogging? I needed a break! And I love that I am able to vent on this wonderful blog of ours. But, hopefully it will all pay off, and I will be working at my dream job one day....secret...
