March Madness
No..... not basketball....like Gardner Family March Madness.
The month of March is always a very busy time in the Gardner home. On a usual month we have;
* Benjamin's birthday on the 14th
* St Patrick's Day on the 17th (This is a huge holiday in our little city. Parade included.)
* Dan's birthday on the 24th
And then the extras this year were:
*The flu bug being passed around the house the first week of March.
*Ben got a pneumonia the 3rd week of March.
*Mommy and Isabella got strep throat the last week of March
* Dan had to work 3 weeks in a row.
* Ben had his very first friend party this year.
* Dan had a milestone birthday of turning 30 this year.
I think the busy scheduling might have contributed to the low immune systems. Whatever it was, it brought a sickness that came over our house this month. Zachary has a super immunity and never got sick. And Dan was always at work, so he managed to stay away from the germs. After some serious antibiotics, resting, and Clorox wipes cleaning, we are happy to say good bye to the month of germs and flu bugs!
Besides the crazy schedules and germs being passed around, we still managed to have some fun in this month. :) The very first day of March we were able to see Dan's favorite hockey team(Buffalo Sabres) play the San Jose Sharks. We got free tickets from Operation Care and Comfort. And we had the best seats in the arena. It was a great way to kick off Dan and Ben's birthday month.
Included in this month, Zach is finishing up his first team sport of soccer at our gym. He has so much fun in his little kickers class.
Also, Ben received an award at an awards assembly this month at his school. He received an award for knowing all his letters and sounds. It was a proud moment for us. He was beaming with a huge smile as he received his award. I still can't believe our little man is finishing Kindergarten in a few months.
Pictures to come soon!
