Countdown to the home life

We can almost see the finish line!

Dan will graduate from his training November 18th. We have enjoyed Arizona and all that we have been able to do. But, we are SO ready to be settled and stay in one spot longer than 6 months. Wrigley is done being an apartment dog. And the boys miss their toys that have been locked up in our storage unit. And most of all, I miss belonging to a family ward and not being a visitor.

So November 1st, we bid farewell to our tiny furnished apartment. Dan is living with his Mom for a few weeks. (She is moving to Illinois soon and Dan has been helping her pack up her house.) And the boys, the dog, and myself headed to Phoenix for a week to stay with Uncle Gary and Pete.
We then drove back to Ft Huachuca for the weekend. My Aunt Judy drove down from Tucson to join us and came down for Ben's last soccer game! We all stayed in a hotel on base. While Wrigley was babysat at Grandma Liz's house.

Then, Monday the boys, the dog, and I headed to San Diego. We are staying with Ocean Grandma for 10 days.

We then head back to Arizona to watch Dan graduate with honors!!!

Then the next morning we are driving to Utah. There we will drop our stuff off that we have gained from Arizona and add it to our storage unit. We will be staying in a hotel while Wrigley will be at a Pethotel at Petsmart. During these few days that we will be in Utah, Dan will finish his paperwork to leave his unit in Utah.

We are then driving to San Diego to spend Thanksgiving and a few days with my Mom, Grandma Sue,and family.

Then the final drive will happen...........
Drive to Utah.
Pack U-haul with storage items.
Turn around next morning and drive to Dublin, California. Our new duty station!

The base housing that we hoped to move into has a wait list of 2 -6 months. So, we will stay in a nice luxury apartment for a few months(It has a fitness center, pool, spa, pond on the grounds, dog park across the street, and it is right across the street from Dan's work, and fireplace in the apartment!) After those few months are finished, the military will move us on to base where we will have a 4 bedroom house with a huge yard!

Then we can exhale, and just enjoy the home life. Looking forward to not putting so many miles on our car!
