Heber Valley Railroad - Polar Express Ride and Train Restaurant

ALL ABOARD THE POLAR EXPRESS!
*** Tip for my fello frugal friends *** We went early in the season on a discount night. We did not choose the first class tickets. They are $15 more dollars per ticket and the only difference is that you get a bigger bell, a golden ticket instead of a regular ticket, and a hot cocoa mug. Heber railroad also gives military discounts to all active duty soldiers!
The night started out rough for Ben. Him and Zach were still getting over being sick. Normally we would have kept them home. However, these were non-refundable tickets and Ben really wanted to go.
Ben felt instantly better when we were out of the cold weather and on the nice warm train!

Happy boy! He could not believe he was on a real train!
During our ride to the North Pole, Elves came to us and served warm chocolate chip cookies.

We later read the Polar Express book all together as the hostess read it out loud.
Mrs Claus came and said hi. She gave us her secret chocolate chip cookie recipe.

We made it to the North Pole! Santa came on the train and gave each child the first gift of Christmas....a silver bell from Santa's sleigh!
Zach meeting Santa for the first time. He didn't even cry!
Family picture with an elf!
The boys playing with their new bells.
The conductor came around to make sure we were in our seats.
My favorite part was when we all sang Christmas Carols together on the ride back to the station. Here is Ben holding a sign for the Twelve days of Christmas carol.
After the train ride, we went to the train restaurant in Heber. A perfect ending to our train night!
They even had a train table set up with trains to play with! Ben was in heaven!
A train driving around above us.

They had a Harry Potter train set up. Ben put in his quarter to watch the train light up.
Chooo Choooo The End!
