Hill Air Force Base Airshow

The first week in June was Air force Week here in Utah. The state of Utah was one of the three states to host Air force week this year. The entire town had free activities and entertainment the whole week. We went to the airshow on Saturday. The famous Thunderbird jets were the main attraction ending the days shows. But, we enjoyed many other things. Touring the inside of a plane. Watching a special movie about jets. Eating yummy airshow food. And the whole time we were walking around, planes and jets were flying above our heads. Ben was in heaven. And Zachary slept most of the time.

Daddy and Ben in front of the house. Ready to head out to the airshow on our base. Dan proudly wore his Army shirt. And Ben wore his Thunderbirds over Miramar shirt that Ocean Grandma had sent him a few years ago. Ben also wore his cool Army hat that Daddy brought him from Iraq.

Ocean Grandma had asked for a picture of the Thunderbirds flying. Well, since our camera's battery died. I took a picture of a jet "flying" with my cell phone camera. ;) wink wink hehehehee

The only picture we could get of the Thunderbirds flying. (Picture taken with our camera phone.)
Ben was so excited to meet a real jet fighter pilot! As the pilot knelt down next to Ben. Ben mimicked him and did the same thing.

I LOVE Airshows! I keep meaning to go to the Biggen Hill one, in England, but something always comes up (like this year, I'm in Germany!) Ben looks like he had a ball, and that story about the 'Real Jet Fighter' was so cute. LOVE that he knelt down and so Ben had to, also. Such a doll!

Never sit where the engine is, if the engine is running, because the air flow will suck you in like a bird. Papa Jr. used to tell me about alot of birds that lost their little birdie life's while the turbines were turning. (creepy huh?) Grandma Reva
