OMG NKOTB are back!

~ Disclaimer ~I know that by posting this blog, I will be showing the world what a goober I am. And you know what? I am okay with that. Sometimes you just gotta embrace your inner goober......

First ,I heard news of Beverly Hills 90210 was coming back to TV. Now, New Kids on the Block reuniting......What is next from my childhood....banana clips in the hair and Alf on TV??????

Oh my gosh! Seriously? New kids on the block baby! I was the biggest fan when I was like 10 years old!!!!! I used to hang posters from my Tiger Beat and Bop magazines of Jordan Knight and Joey McIntyre on my wall! I remember my friend Tina who lived across the street from me had a New Kids On the Block sleeping bag and matching pillow! I had a New kids on the block lunch box and back pack! Those were the days! Watching them perform on the TODAY show I felt time warped back to 1989!!!!!

I wish I still had my old tapes! I am SO downloading some old songs from ITunes!

They are back and of course coming to my town when I will be about to pop with baby on November 15th!!!! I always wanted to go to one of their concerts!!!! Maybe they'll tour next year too. One can only hope.............

I too was their biggest fan! I was able to go see a concert in 1990 in Phoenix. There was a group of us at school and we all went and had professional pictures done wearing our New Kids gear. I too had my walls covered with pictures from Bop and Big Bopper. I actually stumbled upon them in my hope chest. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I'm glad to see others as excited as me about them getting back into it.

I saw that they were performing too and about peed my pants!! I was so in love with the New kids!! Jordan was definitely my favorite. I think that the earring in one ear did it for me back then. haha Now they all look so old!! Joey is pretty cute still. Danny has a weird shaped head. Those are my thoughts...Love NKOTB!!

As a kid, I never understood my friends' obsession with New Kids on the Block. But then, I also listened to John Denver and Oldies with my mom. Can you say dork?!

Oh Leah, my friend Amy and I were some of the biggest NKOTB goobers ever! And we still are. We have had several conversations in the last couple of days about going to a concert. If she is able to get tickets, I will be flying to Denver in November... this will be our second New Kids concert together!!

Okay. I am a dork too. I had the slippers that looked like sneakers with a picture of all of them on it. I had the sheets, pillows and buttons...I even owned the limited edition photography book. Now if that isn't gooberish I don't know what is. What I want to know is why? WHy? Why are they doing this? Especially Donnie who has a really good career? Oh well, I will watch their perfomance on youtube.

Ha! Ok, so I wasn't an official member of the fan club, but I definately was in on the action. I had all their tapes, and even their Christmas (ready for this?) LP! I'm not sure how I feel about any of that being renewed, though. Sometimes I feel that the past ought to be left in the past. No matter how rad, bad or wicked (remember those?) it was when new. *sigh* Ok, enough of my soap box.

I guess I jinxed myself with the second to last post. I was bragging on how "easy" this pregnancy has been. Well, the good news is that I have yet to lose my lunch, breakfast, or any meal with this baby. The bad news is that I have been losing a lot of blood and having sharp pains in my belly. This was day 4 of those same symptoms, and I decided to head to a DR to make sure everything was okay. The great news is that I saw the baby's heartbeat for the first time and it was strong! And the cervix looks perfect. Also, I went to one of the best OB Women's health centers in the west. The Mary Birch Women and Baby center is amazing! Their staff was wonderful! I was treated by a perionatologist (Dr who deals with high risk pregnancies) who just "happened" to be on staff that day. I felt very reassured after leaving that I had received the best treatment possible. (Shauna - I thought of you the whole time) I realized how blessed I am to always have such great Dr...
